Each handwritten line of the poem serves as a kind of riddle, for example the first line of texts asks "What is the social tree" to which the answer would be the pear tree. This is one of only two handwritten Edison poems that we are aware of, the other being held by the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History. This is almost certainly one of the finest and most desirable Edison manuscripts we have ever seen, it is highly unlikely that you will ever come across anything as unique as this from Edison again.
Page measures appx. 7" x 5" and is encapsulated to an overall size of 9"x6". The casing of the encapsulation does have a few chips to the corners. One small hole to the top right not affecting the text, otherwise in fine condition. Light toning, as shown.
GUARANTEED GENUINE - simply one of the finest EDISON documents available on the market.
A handsome and impressive addition to any collection, an excellent gift idea. An exceptional investment opportunity, and a truly rare and remarkable find.
