19th President of the United States RUTHERFORD B. HAYES signed State of Ohio commission document autographed by Hayes while serving as the Governor of Ohio. The commission appoints James Truesdall to be Justice of the Peace and is dated April 11th 1868. Hayes signs in the lower right "RBHayes" the document is counter-signed by John Russell.
