Spanish Monarch & Christopher Columbus financier ISABELLA I hand-signed original document from 1500. The document is dated May 25th, 1500. It was signed during Columbus’ 3rd voyage and 5 months before he was jailed and sent back to Spain. This pay warrant on watermarked parchment ordered a sum of money to be paid to Juan de Trillo for work commissioned by the Queen, signed in Isabella’s typical fashion "Yo La Reyna". Counter-signed by Royal Secretary Gaspar de Trizio.
