Beloved Monarch and Queen of the United Kingdom QUEEN ELIZABETH II hand-signed diplomatic appointment document counter-signed by future Prime Minister Anthony Eden. One of the few types of documents Elizabeth is known to have authentically signed. Dated February 16th 1953, Elizabeth signs during the first year of her reign (four months before her coronation) . 
 
The document appoints "...Harry Jones, Esquire, Officer of Our Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, to be an Officer of the Sixth Grade of Branch A of Our Foreign Service at any of Our Diplomatic or Consular Establishments abroad or in the Department of Our Principal Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs".
