Napoleon approves a request by the Duke of Dalmatia for 6 months paid leave for a surgeon. Napoleon handwrites "accorde" and then signs in his typical style as "NP". Document is counter-signed at the bottom by Louis-Alexandre Berthier.

He attaches a certificate which ascertains in an authentic manner that this [sic] officer of is affected by a disease...."
