Infamous British Monarch, King GEORGE III, scarce 1783 revolution-dated handwritten letter signed. The letter is written from the "Queen's House" and is dated "Mar. 15th, 1783". Nearing the end of the American Revolutionary War and 3 months after the evacuation of Charleston, King George III writes to Lord Sydney (his Home Secretary) from the "Queen's House" requesting that several appointments for political office be made such as "appointing Mr. Estwick Secretary and Register of Chelsea Hospital".
Handwritten letters from GEORGE III are incredibly scarce, the King opted not to handwrite the large majority of his correspondence. This is an excellent item for the discerning collector who only wants the finest signed content for their collection.
