Legendary martyred 35th President of The United States JOHN F. KENNEDY entirely handwritten speech completed and signed AS PRESIDENT. These historic handwritten notes span four pages on the October 6th, 1961 dinner menu in which the Sudanese President was hosting John & Jackie Kennedy. JFK has also signed the Speech across the front cover in blue ballpoint pen as "John Kennedy". The menu was given by Kennedy to Dr. Osman El Hadari, Sudanese Ambassador to the United States who attended the dinner, see picture for reference.
BACKGROUND:
Two days earlier President Kennedy welcomed Sudanese President Ibrahim Abboud to the United States. After attending a state dinner at the White House on 4 October 1961, Abboud hosted a dinner at The Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC, honoring President Kennedy and First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy. Upon the official menu for the dinner, Kennedy uses four of its 8 pages to hand write remarks that he delivered that night. The menu was then signed and given by Kennedy to Dr. Osman El Hadari, Sudanese Ambassador to the United States who attended the dinner.

Handwritten speeches from John F. Kennedy are extremely rare with the majority of them out of private hands. Kennedy's speeches are highly collectible as he is known to have been among one of the greatest orators in history. This same speech had previously been offered at auction by world renowned autograph expert Nate Sanders for $17,500.
JFK's handwriting was notoriously awful and as such we are unable to determine exactly what the entirety of the document reads, however, here are some excerpts from the back page:
"Two days ago we welcomed you...here as leaders...I hope after two days...we can welcome you here as friends...the U.S. is a young country - we have been [?] as you are now in building...''
