Historic pioneer of modern nursing FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE handwritten letter, boldly signed "Florence Nightingale" in the text. The letter is on her Park Lane stationary and is dated December 22nd '89, she sends warm Christmas wishes to famed surgeon and founding pathologist JAMES PAGET.
Also includes complimentary original BECKETT BAS "Signature Review" Pre-Certification as "LIKELY TO PASS FULL AUTHENTICATION".
Letter Reads:
"Dec. 22nd '83
Dear Sir James Paget,
A Happy Christmas to you & many, many of them must be the fervent wish of all your countless friends - and of none more warmly than your old friend Florence Nightingale - I will not let myself drop out of your kind memory".
Letter measures approx. 3.5"x 4.5" and is in good condition, all of the writing remains bold and legible. Some staining to the back of the letter, not showing through to the front.
