The letter is dated August 16th [18]'87, she writes to her friend "Mrs Robertson" regarding the transfer of goods from her niece Mrs. Shore Smith along with several other errands that she needs done.

"Claydon Aug. 16/87

Dear Mrs. Robertson,

Thank you for all you have done for me - Mrs. Shore Smith is gone into Scotland for 2 months - Would you kindly transfer her eggs to Mifs. Cropland Nightingale Home St. Thomas Hospital. Sending the eggs to Mrs. Wardroper too, as heretofore - are you kindly able to send a little grass to the cats at South so alths' wild flowers for their people are no more? I hope you & Mr Robertson & your children are well & I hope to see you before I leave Claydon. Best I have been so very poorly lately. If Mrs. [sic] likes to have butter & cream every day while I am here"


Letter measures approx. 7.5"x 4.5" and is in good condition, all of the writing remains bold and legible. Toning and a mailing fold consistent with age and storage.
