APOLLO 13 swatch of seat fabric FLOWN AROUND THE MOON from the personal collection of FRED HAISE. The fabric is safely encased in lucite with an Apollo 13 mission insignia at the bottom as well as a signed statement from Fred Haise attesting to the authenticity of the item. Also accompanied by a larger laminated Certificate of Authenticity that was signed by Haise. 
 
These displays were created in 2009 when Fred Haise donated 200 swatches of 1" fabric to be produced in a limited run to raise money for the astronaut scholarship foundation. The fabric almost immediately sold out. These Lucite displays are one of the only ways to get a 100% authentic flown item from the mission, only a dozen or so have ever been offered for sale since 2009.
 
The certificate reads in full:
"The fabric flew to the moon aboard Apollo 13 as backing material for the astronauts' couches in the Command Mondule, Odyssey. The April 11-17, 1970 mission epitomized a nation's strength as the U.S. brought the crew and their crippled spaceship home safely. This artifact is from the personal collection of Fred W. Haise 40 of 200."
